This Privacy Policy explains how Cobalt Computer Services Inc. (“Cobalt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.cobaltservicesinc.com (the “Site”) or contact us through it.

How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers. We use companies that help us run the Site and our business. For example, Squarespace hosts the Site and processes contact form submissions, and Google provides the spam protection (reCAPTCHA) on our contact form and the fonts used on the Site. These providers handle information on our behalf or as needed to provide their services.
- Legal reasons. We may share information if we believe it is required by law, a court order, or a legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cobalt, our clients, or others.
- Business changes. If Cobalt is involved in a merger, sale, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your permission. We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Our Site runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for the Site to work properly and secure, and to provide basic, built-in visitor statistics (such as page views and traffic sources). We use these statistics to understand how the Site is used.
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help block spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, and that information is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. The Site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when pages load.
We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, or other advertising trackers on the Site.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site may not work as expected. You can learn more about Squarespace’s practices in the Squarespace Privacy Policy and Squarespace Cookie Policy.
Third-Party Tools and Links
Our Tools page offers free resources from other companies:
- EasyDMARC. The Tools page includes an embedded EasyDMARC lookup tool. If you enter a domain name or other information into it, that information is sent to and handled by EasyDMARC, not by Cobalt.
- Links to outside tools. We link to tools such as Have I Been Pwned, MXToolbox, SSL Labs, Downdetector, Bitwarden’s password generator, IP Chicken, and Fast.com.
The Site also links to our Facebook and Instagram pages, our Google reviews, TeamViewer (for client support sessions), and our web designer’s website.
These outside sites and tools are run by other companies and have their own privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for how they collect or use information. Please review their policies before you use them.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. However, no website, internet transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, such as responding to your request, providing services, keeping business records, and meeting legal requirements. After that, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is meant for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
